Five & 20 customer appreciation nights
While the wait for Pint Nights and Spirit Nights continues, Five & 20 will keep the fire pit lit as long as weather permits. This event will also include limited indoor seating. Customer Appreciation Nights take place every Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. This event is paired with Pint Night specialty beers and Spirit Night specialty cocktails to create a fun night every week. This event will practice social distancing and is also a happy hour style event as Five & 20 don’t want to wait until spring to hang out with their regulars. Public ice skating at the Flo Fabrizio Ice Center
Public skating sessions are back! Public skating sessions take place every Friday and Saturday from 7pm to 9pm and every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 2pm. The price to participate in public skating is only $ 6 for non-members and $ 5 for members. Ice skate rentals are an additional $ 3.50 for non-members and $ 2.50 for members. Snowshoe and cross-country skiing clinics in Asbury Woods
Visit Asbury Woods on February 6th for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing courses. These clinics teach participants the basics of cross-country skiing and snowshoeing before going out and practicing on the trails. Each clinic will cover the same material. So you can register on the date that works best for you. No previous experience is required and all equipment is provided. There must be at least a six inch show for the clinic to take place. Large groups should call to request a private program. This event is $ 12 for members and $ 15 for non-members. The snowshoe clinics recommend waterproof boots. Virtual status symbols on the Presque Isle
What do the Eastern Hemlock and the Ruffed Grouse have in common? If you didn’t already know, these are two of the many state symbols that Pennsylvania has adopted over the years – and there are many others. This is a virtual event. Virtual Presque Isle and Erie Bluffs State Parks as seen from the camera traps
Educational staff use a variety of techniques to monitor wild life in Presque Isle and Erie Bluffs State Parks. Take part in this virtual presentation on February 13 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and learn how test cameras are used in resource management. Kids Night Out in Asbury Woods
It’s children’s night in Asbury Woods. The Children’s Night in the Forest includes age-appropriate indoor and outdoor scientific activities, nature exploration and a night hike in the forest, weather permitting. Oh crepe! It’s Valentine’s Day – Drive Up Event
Give A Crepe crepes are freshly made for you to enjoy during this event. Come to the Courtyard Winery to see how crepes are made and choose a wine that goes with them. GAL-entines Day Yoga
Who needs Valentine’s Day when you can focus on health and history with your closest friends on GALentines Day? During this time of limited social gatherings, the Hagen History Center would like to invite you to a GALentines Day Yoga. A fun virtual yoga experience the day before Valentine’s Day. Abi will walk you through one hour and fifteen minutes of Hatha Yoga Flow, with an emphasis on expanding your heart chakra from 10 a.m. via zoom. After yoga, indulge yourself with a take-away box filled with sweet treats and a 350ml bottle of matzo white wine. Take-home boxes can be picked up on February 12th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets sold online are only $ 10 for members and $ 15 for non-members. Great backyard bird figure
Join Asbury Woods for the Great Backyard Bird Count. This annual national program is a great way to learn about bird watching and help scientists protect native birds. The program includes a short indoor session that teaches you how to identify birds that are common in our area during the winter months, as well as an introduction to the Ebird app. Participants then visit bird feeders and trails around the nature center to report the number of birds via the Ebird app as part of this citizen science effort. Participants can bring their own binoculars or borrow a pair from Asbury Woods. This event will take place on February 14th from 1pm to 3pm in Asbury Woods.
