On April 18, Bert’s Big Adventure hosted their socially distant outdoor Spring Reunion Adventure at The Springs Cinema & Taphouse in Sandy Springs.
The guests were greeted with hugs and waves by Bert Weiss, the founder of Bert’s Big Adventure and host of the Bert Show, Bert’s Big Adventure staff and Fairy Godparent volunteers. Families enjoyed a sunset concert from The A-Town A-List, with a dance party and custom-wrapped meals from Jersey Mikes Subs for dinner, before a private Monsters, Inc. show was shown on the drive-in screen.
Bert’s Big Adventure is a non-profit offering children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families a magical, five-day, all-cost trip to Walt Disney World. The organization hosts quarterly Reunion Adventures, also known as family reunions, to further strengthen their 19-year-old community and friendships.
