MISSOULA – Local governments can’t impose restrictions due to a recently passed law in Montana, but some organizations are canceling some of their events in western Montana because of the pandemic.

The Fort Missoula Historical Museum posted this on social media:

“After carefully reviewing the current COVID-19 situation in Missoula County, seeking advice from the health department, and speaking to our staff and volunteers at the History Museum, we decided it was not possible for our Thanksgiving Day event , will take place this fall. “

That event was scheduled for September 26th, as was the Fall Festival hosted by Rattlesnake Creek Watershed, which was also canceled due to COVID-19 health issues.
