Troy Kingi and Delaney Davidson at the Theater Royal have been postponed until the country returns to level one

The announcement that New Zealand will be locked in Level 4 means events in the Nelson area will be postponed or canceled until further notice.

Troy Kingi and Delany Davidson were scheduled to perform at the Theater Royal on Tuesday night, but this has been postponed.

Theater Royal said a postponed show date will be announced if New Zealand returns on Alert 1 and any tickets already purchased remain valid for the postponed show.

State Cinemas Nelson will be closed for the next three days. Customers can call or email to exchange or refund tickets.

The Seafood New Zealand national industry conference scheduled for Thursday and Friday at the Rutherford Hotel has been canceled. They are currently examining options as to whether they should be continued at a later date.

Nelson College principal Richard Dykes said all students should stay home until the end of Level 4. He was hoping students could return to school next week, but has prepared for the possibility of an extended lockdown, with staff ready to teach online on Monday.

All Nelson College events will be postponed this week, including a first XV rugby game this Saturday. All boarders must return home and all NCEA reviews are postponed indefinitely.

Tasman rugby spokesman Les Edwards said New Zealand rugby made the decision to cancel rugby at all levels this weekend. As a result, the Tasman Mako Double Header games have been canceled this Sunday at Trafalgar Park.
