Daytime Emmys announce the 2021 lifestyle and fiction winners

Zac Efron, Karrueche Tran, Andy Serkis, “This Old House” and “Jeopardy: The Greatest of All Time” were among the winners on Sunday night when the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced their remaining harvest of Daytime Emmys gave winners in the areas of “Fiction and Lifestyle”. The 48th annual Daytime Emmy Awards for kids and animation categories were announced on Saturday, while other major awards were announced last month via the Daytime Emmys broadcast on CBS.

Efron won the daily presenter for his Netflix series “Down to Earth with Zac Efron,” while “This Old House” was named the best educational and instructional program, and Food Network’s “Barefoot Contessa: Cook Like a Pro” was named the Outstanding Culinary Series excellent culinary. Tran won as the lead actress in a daytime game program for “The Bay”. Serkis won “The Letter for the King” as a guest actor in a daily Netflix game program.

In the evening the “2020 Film Independent Spirit Awards” from IFC and “Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time “won both of them as an outstanding team of authors for a daily non-fiction special.

The winners of the Daytime Emmy in the area of ​​fiction and lifestyle were announced via NATAS ‘Emmy OTT platform with more than 30 categories. The Daytime Emmy Awards are given to individuals and programs that air between 2 a.m. and 6 p.m., as well as specific categories of digital and syndicated programs with similar content. More than 3,000 submissions, which premiered in the 2020 calendar year, were received by NATAS and were evaluated by a pool of more than 1,000 experts from the TV industry.

Among the big winners on the CBS show, hosted by Sheryl Underwood and aired on June 25, “Kelly Clarkson Show” won Best Entertainment Talk Show, while Kelly Clarkson won as Entertainment Talk Host. “General Hospital” was recognized as a top daytime drama as well as leading actor (Maurice Benard), supporting actor (Max Gail), directing team for a drama, technical team for a drama and casting for a drama. Meanwhile, “Hazard!” Again picked up the award for the best game show, while the late Alex Trebek won another Emmy for the game show host.
