Organizer of the Russian sports tournament Epic sporting events announced the start of the third season of Dota 2 EPIC League.
In the league, 16 teams from Europe and the CIS region will compete for a share of prize money of 100,000 US dollars (~ 72,840 GBP).

The group stage of the event takes place March 2-13, while the first division playoffs begin on March 14th and end on March 21st.
Despite announcing details about the EPIC League, Epic Esports Events has yet to announce which teams will be participating in the event. Team announcements are expected to be “phased in” soon, according to the release.
The third season of the EPIC League is one of the first online tournaments to take place before the ONE Esports Singapore Major, the first major of the Dota Pro Circuit season in 2021.
Mark Averbukh, Product Director at Epic Esports Events, said in a press release on the news, “We are excited to announce the third season of the EPIC League, which will take place March 2-21 and will bring together 16 teams from the CIS and Europe.
“At the moment we are in the final phase of negotiations with the participants and will gradually announce them on our platforms. I am sure that the upcoming tournament will be a great show for all Dota 2 fans. “

During the second season of the EPIC League, the tournament organizer entered into a number of partnerships with Chinese companies Haval and sports betting companies Parimatch. Epic Esports Events is also a member of Hold ESforce.
Esports Insider Says: The EPIC League has become one of the biggest Dota 2 tournaments for European and CIS teams. With the season just around the corner, expect new and returning partners to be announced before the promotion begins.
