TAMPA, Fla. (AP) – Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet each had 23 points and the Toronto Raptors defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 110-103 for their fourth straight win. Chris Boucher scored 11 of his 17 points for Toronto in the fourth quarter and hit three 3-point points as the Raptors opened the period with a 15-8 rise to take the final lead. Joel Embiid, who had a 50-point breakout against Chicago on Friday night, had 25 points and 17 rebounds for the 76ers who lost their fourth straight street game. Embiid only made six out of 20 shots from the field. Ben Simmons led Philadelphia with 28 points and nine rebounds.
STATELINE, Nevada (AP) – David Pastrnak had a hat trick and the Boston Bruins took control with three goals in the second half in a lapse of 1:39 to beat the Philadelphia Flyers with 7 in an outdoor game on the shores of the lake: 3 to beat Tahoe. After a delayed opening game of the weekend between Colorado and Vegas due to the bright sun, which made for bad ice conditions, the game on Sunday went with fewer problems. The high level of play of the Bruins matched the picturesque surroundings with the lake and snow-capped mountains in the background. It was Pastrnak’s second hat trick in three games against the Flyers that season. Boston is 5-0 against Philadelphia this year.
IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) – Luka Garza scored 23 points to become Iowa’s all-time scorer, and the Hawkeyes in 11th place defeated Penn State 74-68. Garza has 2,126 points for Iowa, breaking the record of 2,116 points that Roy Marble set in 1985-89. Garza also had 11 rebounds for his 10th double-double of the season. It was the fourth straight win for Iowa. Izaiah Brockington and Myreon Jones each had 11 points to lead Penn State. CJ Fredrick added 18 points for the Hawkeyes, who took control with a 13-2 run in the second half.
BALTIMORE (AP) – Reed Fenton scored 19 points and Lehigh beat Loyola (MD) 76-72. Dominic Parolin scored 15 points with 10 rebounds and Evan Taylor scored 15 with nine boards for Lehigh. Ben Li added 10 points. Santi Aldama had 24 points, 18 rebounds and four blocks for the greyhounds.
PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Xavier Castaneda had 18 points when South Florida topped the temple 83-76. Khalif Battle led the owls with 32 points.
NEW YORK (AP) – Elijah Ford had a career high of 31 points when Wagner won his ninth game in a row, beating St. Francis of Pennsylvania 70-68. Ramiir Dixon-Conover led the Red Flash with 20 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.
