Manchester United have made an upgraded offer for Borussia Dortmund striker Jadon Sancho, which is said to be worth more than £ 75million.

The structure of the proposed offering would result in United paying more upfront while the rest is in achievable surcharges.

United’s original proposal is said to be £ 67m upfront plus around £ 8m in add-ons.

Dortmund are believed to be considering the latest offer, although reports in Germany suggest Sancho is worth more than £ 80million.

However, there is a willingness of all parties to conclude a deal with Sancho’s current deal in the summer of 2023.

United remains the “most realistic goal” for Sancho – although other clubs are still interested.

When asked whether his future would be an undesirable distraction before Euro 2020, Sancho told talkSPORT: “No, I’m cool.

“You know, there will always be speculation, especially when you’re okay.

“That’s how you deal with it on the pitch and just keep going.

“If you go on like this, it won’t be a problem because the most important thing is my football and that’s what I’m concentrating on right now.”

Potential future club teammates Marcus Rashford, Dean Henderson, Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire are all on the English squad alongside Sancho as the discussion continues, but the winger has given little away.

“Of course all guys have a lot of questions, you know,” he added.

“I feel like a lot of players do because we are all such great young talents and if you do well – again, like I said – there will always be speculation.

“Again I just tell the guys: ‘Look, I’m only concentrating on football at the moment’ and we’re just concentrating on the European Championship one step at a time.”

What should Man Utd do this summer?

Sky Sports News’ James Cooper writes: “Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been talking more about ‘fine tuning’ this summer than about major changes with the suggestion that there will be a big signing in the marquee, accompanied by a few other new faces.

“Finances were an issue last summer and a year of football in the midst of a pandemic didn’t make the Old Trafford economy any easier, so I don’t expect a huge cash injection to suddenly fix everything.

“With Edinson Cavani extended to Manchester and with high hopes for Mason Greenwood’s further development, it would be a surprise if one of Harry Kane or Erling Haaland arrives at Old Trafford, but Manchester United have other areas they have need to strengthen, and their transfer money can only go so far.

“Funding through player sales or releasing large salaries through departures would allow greater flexibility again and Solskjaer and his recruiting team remain admirers of Sancho.

“The key to what Manchester United wants to do in a context where fans are making big names despite the impact of COVID is to bridge the gap with Manchester City and focus on a real bias in the Champions League in the prepare next season. It is the first transfer for the club’s new recruiting structure as well and they can expect to be busy in the coming weeks. “
