India’s global cricketers were amazed at the sight of the world’s largest stadium in Motera as it took them an hour to get used to the facility, whose dressing rooms are attached to the gym.
The stadium, with a capacity of 1,10,000, is expected to host its first international match – the day / night pink ball test between India and England from February 24th.
“To be honest, to be in the largest stadium in the world, we can’t wait to have the fans and see the atmosphere, which is going to be enormous,” said extravagant all-rounder Hardik Pandya in a video released by the BCCI was posted.
“All the boys loved it, I think it took us almost an hour to get used to the size of the floor, the kind of facilities it provided us with. I’m really, really proud that we have this in India. We can take so many people in here and play wonderful games here. “
Pandya was blown away by its size and features and continued, “To be honest, I haven’t seen a gym connected to my locker room. For the first time I think I saw a gym connected to the locker room which is fantastic.

“I can’t thank the GCA enough and all the people who worked really hard to make a stadium so wonderful that we can’t wait to come back and play here.”
The four-game test series are 1-1 after India made a strong comeback in their second game in Chennai with a resounding 317 run win.
About the new stadium, India’s number three Cheteshwar Pujara said: “It’s an amazing feeling, it’s a huge, huge stadium and we’re all looking forward to playing our first Pink Ball Test in Motera.”
“It’s an amazing site with big changing rooms, it’s pretty spacious and we enjoy the facilities out here.”
He also talked about the gym.
“The gym is next to the locker room. So you know that it is very useful for people who want to train between games or anytime. The gym is excellent, it’s pretty spacious and we did our first workout here today and we had a good time. “

The stadium will also host the fourth and final test between the two countries.
Opener Mayank Agarwal said, “It’s fantastic to step into Motera and see the grandstands being built. It’s a huge floor, we’ve never played on such a big floor and it feels great.
“We came down specifically to have a training session today and some of us wanted to run. We have never seen a club that has a gym like this. It was a pleasure to train here. “
