The Santa Barbara Police Department will present a series of videos, titled Upfront with SBPD, showing the operational activities of community members on a variety of police-related topics. The first video focuses on homelessness and how the department responds to sensitive issues.
The short videos will be published on the city’s websites, on YouTube and on social media platforms, and will be played on the City TV channel, Cox Cable Channel 18.
Future topics include officers’ response to opiate overdoses, community liaison officers, recruitment and retention, and an episode focusing on patrolmen working on the cemetery shift.
