Penn State Alumni Association events during THON weekend

THON may be virtual, but that doesn’t dampen the spirit of the Penn State Alumni Association. As always, there are events across the country to raise funds or to celebrate the weekend in other ways.

Of course, this year’s events are mostly via Zoom. If you do choose to hold an in-person event, follow social distancing guidelines and wear a mask.

THON Alumni Wars

When: February 14th to the end of THON
Where: Everywhere!

All Penn State alumni can take part in the THON Alumni Wars, a fundraising contest between former captains’ committees. The event, which is in its inaugural year, will last this entire week and will continue until the end of THON.

Just take part register here and join a team. The winner will be the team that will receive the most points that can be earned by participating in the fundraiser, as well as the number of teammates present during the Zoom activities. To the More information can be found here.

Penn State Colorado: Fit for THON

When: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. (12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Eastern Time)
Where: Zoom

The Penn State Alumni Association’s Colorado chapter is hosting a one-hour fitness class with all proceeds going to THON on Saturday morning. Hosted by Penn alumnus and Colorado state board member Brandon Roll, the virtual fundraiser is the first event of the year for the Colorado chapter.

The class includes a full body warm-up, body weight and cardio workout, as well as a slight cool-down with stretching. Participants are encouraged to donate US $ 21. If you are unable to attend, you will still be asked to donate. To the More information can be found here.

Penn State Triangle Chapter: THON Merchandise Fundraiser

This year, the Penn State Triangle chapter offers a unique opportunity to donate.

Customized Penn State THON 2021 apparel will be offered and a portion of the proceeds will go to THON. You can order everything from hoodies to masks in a wide variety of sizes and colors. For more informations, Click on this link.
