Commerce Minister Ramon M. Lopez
According to Commerce Minister Ramon M. Lopez, a relaxation of the rules for live events such as concerts is currently being considered.
“We don’t immediately allow events that endanger physical distancing, like live events with singing, which health experts say is a risk because of the droplets. If there is no device or mechanism in a closed space in the future, this could be considered, ”Lopez said in Filipino at a briefing on Friday.
The government has already eased restrictions on mass gatherings in areas with the lowest quarantine level.
Activities that are permitted under certain venue capacity guidelines include religious ceremonies and social gatherings.
Meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) are also allowed in accredited facilities of the Ministry of Tourism. – – Gillian M. Cortez
