Rooter and Wings Lifestyle to host Pro Scrims 2021, one of the largest BGMI invitational tournaments in India – Technology News, Firstpost

To celebrate the success of the Indian version of PUBG Mobile, the game streaming and esports platform Rooter will be participating in a weeklong tournament from the 21st. Rooter has partnered with Wings Lifestyle, an India-based manufacturer of low-latency gaming earphones, to host the event. The tournament will take place in two phases with a huge prize pool of Rs 2.50,000.

According to Rooter, the initial phase takes place during the first four days of the tournament. The teams play three games a day. The winning team will receive 40,000 rupees, the second place team 30,000 rupees and the third place team 20,000 rupees. The most valuable player in phase one receives 10,000 rupees.

In the second phase (or “Conqueror”) the winning teams will receive a prize of 60,000 rupees. Teams that secure second place will receive Rs 35,000; the third placed team will receive 25,000 rupees and the fourth placed team will receive 10,000 rupees. The most valuable player and the team in the second phase will each receive 10,000 rupees. The top performer of the day or the winner of the title “Wings Phantom of the day” will receive 5,000 rupees and a Wings Phantom Bluetooth headset.

For the uninitiated, Battlegrounds Mobile India is an online multiplayer battle royale game developed and published by Krafton. The game has three modes – Solo, Duo and Squad Battle Royale. In Battle Royale mode, multiple teams play on a single map. The main objective of the game, which launched on July 2, 2020, is to discover better loot and survive by being the only living team in the game. The game is exclusive to the Indian market.

The footage from the Rooter Pro Scrims 2021 tournament will be streamed as a 28-hour compilation via Rooter and YouTube.
