ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, Virginia. – If you have something to do this weekend or are looking for a place to go out, we have 30 options for you! It’s all part of the North Rockbridge Americana Trail.
A few dozen people came together a few years ago to create this tour of the small businesses in North Rockbridge. It has everything from antique shops to lavender farms to the oldest still operating commercial grist mill: Wade’s Mill.
Offering tours, demonstrations, and more, this hidden gem has been around since the 18th century and is still running today.
“It was not just the place where local farmers had their grain ground, but also while they were ‘waiting’ for the Müllerstein, talking to their neighbors, exchanging news – making contacts,” says Karen Siegried, owner, marketing director and gardener at Wade’s Mill.
The shops are here every day. This weekend you will find great offers and special prices on the way as part of the Americana Trail.
