Karachi [Pakistan]Jan 31 (ANI): Pacer Wahab has been dropped from the Pakistani squad for the upcoming T20I series of three games against South Africa, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Sunday.

Along with Wahab, opening hitter Fakhar Zaman was also shown the door while Pacer Hasan Ali found his way back into the squad. The hosts would be led by Babar Azam in the next three T20Is.

Asif Ali and Aamer Yamin were also called back, while four uncapped players – Zafar Gohar, the Dane Aziz, Zahid Mehmood and Amad Butt – were called up to the squad.

Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim and Mohammad Hafeez are also missing from the T20I squad. Hafeez was in good shape in the T20I series against New Zealand and even recorded a plus of 90+ in the second T20I.

The national selection players, led by chief voter Muhammad Wasim, announced on Sunday the 20-man squad of Pakistani men for the T20I series of three games against South Africa, which will be played in Lahore.

The three games will be played from February 11th to 14th. The Pakistani cadre, along with officials, will enter the bio-safe bubble starting Wednesday February 3rd.

Players taking part in the test series will join the bubble at the end of the second test, which begins on Thursday February 4th in Rawalpindi.

Pakistan beat South Africa by seven goals in the first Test and now the two teams will face each other in the final Test of the two-game series.
