New Delhi [India]Feb 17 (ANI): Youth and Sport Minister Kiren Rijiju hosted the Fit India Advisory Committee’s annual meeting on Wednesday, which was attended by some celebrities, athletes and officials from the Ministry of Sport.
The Fit India Advisory Committee was established when the Fit India movement launched in August 2019 with the aim of exchanging ideas and proposing initiatives to spread awareness of health and fitness among citizens under the auspices of the Fit India movement.
During the hour-long virtual meeting, many valuable suggestions were made by various Fit India symbols and special invitees who emphasized the importance of proper nutrition and eating in one’s life, especially in terms of fitness.
Actor Anil Kapoor said you need to be aware of your recording.
His thoughts were repeated by the captain of the Indian soccer team, Sunil Chhetri.
“Diet and food are really important because as a kid I was never taught what to eat and now the biggest struggle of my life is that I only eat what I need to eat and very little of what what i want. In India people eat a lot more of what they want and don’t think about why they are eating and how it will help their bodies. Besides the fitness campaign we are running, we also need to provide information about what we are doing eat and why we eat it and that will be of massive help, “said Chhetri.
Actor Rannvijay Singh said he and Sunil Chhetri were childhood friends and even attended the same school. He said her school plays an important role in understanding the importance of fitness, as “education that you get at home and school during childhood is an important part of your life”.
“As a kid we got a lot of encouragement from these two places to stay active in our lives and today it helps us a lot. As a kid we really enjoyed these activities and that’s exactly what I’ve integrated into my life these days and make sure that it doesn’t become a chore, “said Singh.
Rijiju praised the participants’ comments and noted the progress that the Fit India movement has made.
“People like Hima and Sunil who have an athletic background and a different level of fitness think when they look at them that they are athletes and fitness is important to them, but they don’t need it. But when people like Chetan Bhagat who is a well known author, he joins us and says something about fitness. It really motivates people to get fit and understand its importance. It creates a ripple effect and that is why we need people like you from different walks of life ( to be part of Fit India) and I am very pleased that you are all part of the initiative, “said the minister.
Some other prominent names who attended the meeting were sprinter Hima Das and weight management specialist Sapna Vayas.
The meeting also discussed the timetable for the Fit India Mission’s activities and events for the next six months.
It has been announced that over 2,500 Fit India events will be organized across India as of March in the coming months. (ANI)
