Highlands students run a virtual talent show

Highlands High School will host a February Follies virtual talent show online on Zoom.us on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

Student soloists will make vocal and instrumental selections. Entry is free and the public is welcome. For access information, visit goldenrams.com and click the February Follies icon.

Garden center that accepts applications for a university scholarship

The Greensburger Garden Center is accepting applications for the Katherine Mabis McKenna Scholarship 2021.

The price is $ 1,500. Applications must be submitted in Westmoreland County or its adjacent counties and completed for a year at an accredited college or university seeking a two- or four-year degree in botany, horticulture, forestry, landscaping, or a related field.

Pantry available in Harrison

The Natrona Community Pantry is located in Natrona Community Park, 12-20 River Road, Harrison.

Everyone in need is welcome. Donations are welcome. Recommended items include canned fruits and vegetables, spices, salt and pepper, tuna, cake mix, powdered milk, and tea bags.

Free takeaway lunch on Wednesday at Allegheny Valley Church of God

Allegheny Valley Church of God, 216 Catalpa St., New Kensington, serves a free takeaway lunch Wednesday lunchtime.

Beef vegetable soup is served as long as the food lasts. Attendees are reminded to observe social distancing when picking up. For more information, call 724-335-0994.
