The Athletics Department of the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga announced the return of fans to home events at McKenzie Arena in limited capacity for the month of February. UTC also announced that due to the wintering of Finley Stadium and the impact on the fan experience in the first two home competitions in February, there will be no fans attending football matches.

Other home events not taking place at McKenzie Arena, including the soccer games on February 20 against VMI and on February 27 against Wofford, allow for a list of student-athlete passes for immediate families.

“We’re excited to have fans at McKenzie Arena again,” said UTC Vice Chancellor and Athletics Director Mark Wharton. “We’ve seen a number of other institutions in the Southern Conference and NCAA sure have fans in their venues. We’ve looked at best practices around the country and put together a strong plan to make a fan-like event safe. “

“We’re also looking forward to welcoming the fans back to our March 27 soccer game against Mercer and the April 10 date against Samford.”

Fans visiting McKenzie Arena are asked to stick with the group they will arrive with throughout their visit. Fans are also asked to practice social distancing 6 ‘from those outside their group. All fans two (2) years of age or older must wear fabric covers. Disposable masks are available for fans who arrive without personal cloth covering.
