The Vanuatu Association for Sports and the National Olympic Committee (VASANOC) have announced that they will be hosting monthly pop-up events promoting the sport across the country.
VASANOC was first launched in late February and held its first pop-up for three hours on the Feiyama Park seafront. Every last Friday of the month it will be dedicated to a different sport.
The first of these sports to be made known to the public was tennis.
The aim of VASANOC is to make the pop-up events accessible to the public and to promote the practice of sport in Vanuatu and to highlight the sporting achievements of the country.

The Mayor of Port-Vila, Erick Puyo-Festa, signed an agreement with VASANOC to make the monthly meetings possible.
Both parties agreed that sport is practiced and developed in Port-Vila and Vanuatu; and this sport can play an important role in people’s lives.
These pop-ups are also designed to encourage participation in sports across the country.
